General Description
The University of Cambridge is seeking a Research Associate in Machine Learning for Healthcare to join a multidisciplinary research team working at the intersection of artificial intelligence and biomedical science. The position is based within a leading academic department and focuses on advancing machine learning methodologies to address complex challenges in healthcare and clinical data analysis.
The successful candidate will contribute to cutting-edge research projects aimed at developing and applying novel machine learning techniques to large-scale biomedical and clinical datasets. Responsibilities include designing algorithms, implementing computational models, analysing high-dimensional datasets, and collaborating with clinicians, data scientists, and researchers across disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria
- PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
- Candidates nearing completion of their PhD may be considered, subject to confirmation of degree award
- Demonstrated research experience in machine learning applied to healthcare or biomedical data
Required Expertise/Skills
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python or similar
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and tools
- Expertise in statistical modelling and data analysis
- Experience working with large-scale or complex datasets, particularly in healthcare or biomedical domains
- Ability to design and implement novel algorithms
- Strong academic writing and publication record or potential
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Salary Details
- £36,924 to £45,163 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
