The University of Nottingham is inviting applications for a Research Associate/Fellow position within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. This fixed-term role offers an opportunity to contribute to an innovative research programme within a leading academic and research-intensive environment.

The successful candidate will be involved in delivering high-quality research aligned with the objectives of the project, contributing to experimental design, data collection, and analysis. The role includes working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary research team, supporting the advancement of scientific knowledge, and contributing to the dissemination of findings through publications and presentations.

The post holder will also play a role in maintaining research standards, supporting laboratory or project management activities where appropriate, and ensuring compliance with relevant research governance and ethical standards. Engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including academic collaborators, may form part of the role. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline within biomedical sciences, medicine, or a closely related field. Candidates must demonstrate a strong track record or clear potential in academic research.

Required expertise/skills
Candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills, with experience in experimental design and data interpretation. Expertise in relevant laboratory or clinical research methodologies is expected. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to prepare scientific reports and publications. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a research team, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines is required.

Salary details
£31,387 to £46,485 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £35,608 per annum for candidates appointed at Research Fellow level).
