General Description –
The Royal Veterinary College (RVC), a leading institution for veterinary and biomedical research, is seeking a Research Assistant to join the CBS project. This role involves supporting high-quality research in comparative biology and disease studies, contributing to experimental design, data collection, and analysis, and assisting with dissemination of findings through reports, publications, and presentations.
The successful candidate will work closely with academic and technical staff within the research group, participating in collaborative research projects and ensuring compliance with institutional and regulatory standards. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic research environment with exposure to cutting-edge laboratory techniques and interdisciplinary research.
Eligibility Criteria –
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as biological sciences, veterinary sciences, biomedical research, or related fields
- Demonstrable experience or interest in laboratory-based research
- Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom
Required expertise/skills –
- Practical laboratory skills and familiarity with standard research techniques
- Ability to manage and analyze research data accurately
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Capacity to work collaboratively in a research team environment
Salary details –
£27,025 to £32,958 per annum (pro rata if part-time), inclusive of London Allowance
