Kurukshetra University has announced recruitment for temporary research positions under the ANRF-PAIR funded research project titled “Dynamic Research Ecosystem for Advanced Materials (DREAMS).” Applications are invited from Indian nationals to support research and administrative activities associated with this advanced materials research initiative. The project aims to strengthen interdisciplinary research in materials science and related domains while building a dynamic research ecosystem within the university.
Kurukshetra University, established on 11 January 1957 in Kurukshetra, Haryana, is a prominent public university located approximately 160 kilometers from New Delhi. The university is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities and was established with the vision of promoting Indian culture and academic excellence.
The recruitment includes the following positions:
• Research Associate-I – 2 positions (one position for 5 years and one position for 3 years)
• Scientific and Administrative Assistant – 2 positions (duration up to 5 years)
The appointments are purely temporary and will be co-terminus with the duration of the project. Candidates will contribute to research activities, technical operations, data analysis, and administrative support related to the DREAMS research initiative. Interviews will be conducted at the Office of the Dean, Research & Development, Kurukshetra University.
Eligibility Criteria
Research Associate-I
• Ph.D. degree in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Electronics, Environmental Sciences, or related disciplines.
Scientific and Administrative Assistant
• Graduate degree in Physical Sciences or Life Sciences from a recognized university.
Required Expertise / Skills
Research Associate-I
• Experience in data acquisition and data interpretation
• Experience operating characterization tools such as XPS, GXRD, AFM, Raman spectroscopy, and ion accelerator systems
• Experience in electrode fabrication and surface engineering
• Knowledge of energy materials, thin film growth, and hybrid nanomaterials
Scientific and Administrative Assistant
• First division in graduation preferred
• Previous project-related work experience desirable
• Experience in machine handling
• Good communication skills and proficiency in English
Salary Details
• Research Associate-I: ₹58,000 per month + 10% HRA
• Scientific and Administrative Assistant: ₹24,000 per month + 10% HRA
