General Description
Goldsmiths, University of London is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join the Department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies on a fixed-term basis. This role presents an opportunity to contribute to an externally funded research project within a dynamic and interdisciplinary academic environment known for critical and creative approaches to media and culture.
The successful candidate will undertake high-quality independent and collaborative research aligned with the objectives of the project. Responsibilities include designing and conducting research, collecting and analysing qualitative and/or quantitative data, and contributing to the production of academic outputs such as journal articles, reports, and other scholarly publications. The postholder will work closely with the principal investigator and wider research team, participating in project meetings and contributing to the overall development and delivery of research activities.
Additional duties include organising and supporting workshops, seminars, and dissemination events, as well as engaging with external stakeholders where relevant. The Fellow will also contribute to maintaining the project’s research profile through active participation in academic networks and conferences. Eligibility Criteria
A PhD (completed or near completion) in media, communications, cultural studies, or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated experience in academic research within relevant fields
Ability to contribute to collaborative research projects
Required Expertise/Skills
Strong qualitative and/or quantitative research skills
Experience in data collection, management, and analysis
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to produce high-quality academic publications
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
Salary Details
£42,405 – £49,785 per annum (Grade 7)
