General Description 
The University of Lincoln is seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate (PDRA) in Geospatial Mental Health and Wellbeing within its research portfolio. This full-time, permanent position is based within a collaborative and multidisciplinary research environment, contributing to the work of the Lincolnshire Unit for Mental Health Research.

The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing research that explores the intersection of geography and mental health, with a particular focus on understanding and addressing mental health inequalities, especially within rural and underserved communities. The role involves working on innovative research projects that utilise geospatial approaches to analyse patterns, determinants, and outcomes of mental health and wellbeing.

The postholder will collaborate with a team of researchers and stakeholders, contributing to impactful public health research and supporting the development of evidence-based insights that inform policy and practice. The position offers access to high-quality research infrastructure and opportunities for professional development within a supportive academic environment.

[Eligibility Criteria]
Applicants should hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline such as public health, geography, epidemiology, social sciences, or a closely related field.

[Required expertise/skills]
Experience in geospatial analysis and/or spatial data methodologies
Knowledge of mental health research, public health, or health inequalities
Ability to design and conduct independent research studies
Strong quantitative and/or qualitative analytical skills
Experience working with large or complex datasets
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary research teams

Salary details 
£38,784 per annum
