Postdoctoral Research Associate in Plant Biology
The Department of Biology at the University of Oxford is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Dr. Laura Moody within the 3D growth group. The position is funded by the Royal Society for a duration of one year, with start dates available from December 1, 2026. Two positions are available, offered on a full-time or part-time basis (open to discussion).
The post holder will become a core member of the 3D growth group and contribute directly to an ongoing research programme that aims to unravel the complex mechanisms underpinning three-dimensional growth in plants. Relevant PhD in a related discipline.
Proven experience in molecular plant biology.
Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the group at national and international academic meetings.
Experience in supervising project students in a laboratory environment.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with Physcomitrium patens.
Essential expertise in confocal microscopy.
Essential experience with quantitative image analysis.
£39,424 to £47,779 per annum (Grade 7)
