Postdoctoral Research Associate
The newly established Sridharan Lab is seeking a talented and motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to investigate how biomolecular condensates regulate protein function and contribute to cancer development and therapeutic response. Funded by a Medical Research Council (MRC) Career Development Award, this position aims to uncover how changes in the biomolecular condensation of RNA-binding proteins drive tumour growth by integrating quantitative proteomics, cell biology, and functional genomics approaches.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying dysregulated condensate proteins using quantitative proteomics and investigating their biological significance through functional screening (shRNA and CRISPR), supported by biochemical and cell biology analyses.
Based within the Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence at the Blizard Institute—one of six Institutes within the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at QMUL—the postholder will have access to state-of-the-art proteomics, genomics, and stem cell technologies. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to an emerging area of biomedical research with strong translational potential in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

Hold, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in Biochemistry, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Cancer Biology, Proteomics, or a related discipline.
Expertise in biochemistry, proteomics, cell biology, or related disciplines.
Experience or strong background in quantitative proteomics, functional screening techniques (shRNA and CRISPR), and cell biology analyses.
Strong interest in discovery-driven research focusing on biomolecular condensation and cancer biology.
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.
£38,419 to £46,618 per annum
