KIT – Kalaignarkarunanidhi Institute of Technology, an autonomous institution established in 2008 by the Vijayalakshmi Palanisamy Charitable Trust, is expanding its team to strengthen student career support and skill development services. The institute is recruiting for key roles that support the placement and professional development ecosystem: Placement Officer, Technical Trainer, Aptitude Trainer, and Soft Skill Trainer. These positions focus on enhancing students’ career prospects by bridging academic learning with industry expectations. The Placement Officer will take a strategic role in building employer engagement and facilitating campus placement activities. Trainers will focus on delivering targeted instruction in specific areas that build technical proficiency, cognitive aptitude, and essential professional skills.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates should hold a relevant degree in the discipline associated with the position. While the Placement Officer role prefers demonstrated experience in campus placements and institutional partnerships, trainers should possess foundational qualifications in areas pertinent to their training domain.
Required expertise, skills
Placement Officer: Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in campus placements and industry collaboration within higher education, strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and negotiation capability.
Technical Trainer: Expertise in areas such as DSA and competitive programming, Java tech stack, full stack development, frontend development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks), backend development (Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, databases, APIs), and core technical subjects.
Aptitude Trainer: Skills in quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, and cognitive training to prepare students for assessment-based recruitment.
Soft Skill Trainer: Capability to train students in communication skills, leadership and teamwork, time management, interview preparation and resume writing, and public speaking and presentation skills.
Across all roles, excellent communication, commitment to student development, and good soft skills are essential attributes.
