General Description
The University of Liverpool is seeking a skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to support the delivery of its Master of Pharmacy programme within the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
This role is based in a leading research-intensive university that is committed to excellence in teaching, innovation in healthcare education, and advancing pharmaceutical sciences. The successful candidate will work closely with academic staff, laboratory teams, and students to ensure the smooth operation of practical teaching sessions and pharmaceutical training activities.
The post holder will play a key role in supporting the preparation, organisation, and maintenance of teaching laboratories and pharmacy practice environments. Responsibilities also include assisting with the preparation of materials, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the effective delivery of student learning experiences.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are expected to meet the following requirements:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Relevant qualification in pharmacy or pharmaceutical sciences
- Experience working in a pharmacy, hospital, academic, or clinical training environment
- Understanding of pharmaceutical practices, regulations, and safety standards
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary academic and technical team
Required Expertise / Skills
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical compounding, dispensing, and laboratory procedures
- Experience supporting teaching or training in pharmacy or healthcare settings
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow strict compliance protocols
- Competence in laboratory safety procedures and quality assurance
- Strong teamwork and student-support orientation
- IT literacy relevant to laboratory and academic systems
Salary Details
Grade 6
£33,951 – £38,784 per annum
