General Description:
The Defence Research Laboratory (DRL), under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), invites applications from motivated candidates for the positions of Junior Research Fellows (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) to contribute to ongoing and upcoming research projects. These positions are temporary and based at DRL, Tezpur. Candidates will engage in scientific research in disciplines such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Polymer Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Horticulture.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Candidates must have completed relevant UG/PG degrees with strong academic records.

• Excellent communication skills are required.

• Candidates should demonstrate a passion for research and teaching.

• Strong research record is desirable.

Required Expertise/Skills:

• JRF Positions:

  1. M.Pharm/M.S(Pharm)/M.Tech(Pharm)/M.Tech in Pharmaceutics/Pharmacology & Toxicology/Pharmacology/Pharmaceutical Chemistry with GATE/GPAT/NET (5 posts)

  2. MSc/M.Tech/MVSc in Zoology/Veterinary Parasitology/Microbiology/Biotechnology/Life Sciences with NET (2 posts)

  3. M.Sc./M.Tech in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Chemical Sciences or related fields with NET/GATE (1 post)

  4. M.Sc./M.Tech in Environmental Sciences/Soil Science/Chemistry/Life Sciences or related fields with NET (1 post)

• RA Positions:

  1. Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences or related fields (1 post)

  2. Ph.D. in Chemistry/Polymer Chemistry/Chemical Sciences/Textile Chemistry/Textile Engineering (2 posts)

  3. Ph.D. in Biotechnology/Microbiology/Life Sciences; desirable: Capillary/NGS nucleic acid sequencing and data analysis (1 post)

  4. Ph.D. in Polymer Sciences/Chemistry/Chemical Sciences; desirable: experience in polymer analysis and instrumentation (1 post)

  5. Ph.D. in Horticulture; desirable: post-harvest technology (1 post)

Salary Details:

• Junior Research Fellows: ₹37,000 per month + HRA

• Research Associates: ₹67,000 per month + HRA
