New Horizon College, Marathahalli, invites applications for the position of Head of Department (HOD) across various engineering disciplines, including Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and related departments. The role is designed for experienced academic leaders committed to advancing teaching, research, and departmental excellence in an autonomous, AICTE-approved institution affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU).
The HOD will provide strategic and operational leadership for the department, overseeing curriculum development, faculty mentoring, research initiatives, accreditation compliance, and student engagement. Responsibilities include fostering a collaborative academic culture, promoting innovation in teaching and learning, and enhancing the department’s research profile through publications, grants, and industry partnerships. The position also involves administration, coordination of academic activities, and supporting institutional development objectives.
Eligibility Criteria
A PhD in the relevant engineering or management discipline is preferred for all HOD positions
Minimum 8–10 years of teaching/research experience at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
Experience in academic administration and leadership roles is highly desirable
Qualifications must comply with AICTE norms for HOD appointments
