Associate Professor in Cancer Immunology – Department of Biotherapeutics Research (DBR)
Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University, invites applications for the post of Associate Professor in Cancer Immunology under its Department of Biotherapeutics Research (DBR). The Department of Biotherapeutics Research serves as a premier interdisciplinary research hub working on cell, gene, protein, 3D bioprinting, and nano/biomaterials-based therapies. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for immunology and oncology researchers with a strong publication and grantsmanship record to lead independent research, secure extramural funding, build biopharma partnerships, and mentor junior scientists.

PhD in Immunology, Tumor Biology, Molecular Oncology, or a closely related field, with First Class or equivalent in the preceding degree and a consistent academic record.
Minimum of 7 years of teaching, research, or industrial experience (excluding PhD duration).
Must have published at least six manuscripts in Q1 journals as a first or corresponding author post-PhD.
Eligible categories: Indian nationals, PIOs, OCIs, and foreign nationals.
Hands-on expertise in immunological assays, tumor microenvironment studies, checkpoint inhibition, CAR-T cell therapy, and cancer biotherapeutics development.
Proven track record of securing extramural research funding.
Postdoctoral research experience from a reputed foreign institution in cancer immunology (highly desirable).
Preferred experience working in Biosafety Level 2/3 (BSL2/BSL3) facilities.
Preferred exposure to preclinical cancer models and immunoprofiling.
Preferred background in industry collaborations and translational research outputs, such as patents or licensed technologies.
Demonstrated leadership in team science, research project execution, and academic mentoring.
