General Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Goa, a premier institution committed to excellence in science, technology, and education, invites applications for full-time Assistant Professor positions across multiple schools: Mechanical Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Science, Electrical Sciences, Chemical and Materials Sciences, Physical Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences. These positions aim to strengthen the Institute’s research, teaching, and academic activities. Candidates will engage in high-quality research, supervise students, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in the overall academic growth of the Institute.
Eligibility Criteria
Ph.D. in the relevant discipline with a first class or equivalent in the preceding degree and a strong academic record throughout.
Assistant Professor Grade I: Minimum three years of post-Ph.D. teaching, research, or professional experience with demonstrated research capability (publications, patents, etc.).
Assistant Professor Grade II: Candidates not meeting Grade I experience or research requirements may be appointed on a contractual basis and may later be elevated to Grade I following due process.
Required expertise/skills
Strong research credentials with publications in peer-reviewed journals and/or patents.
Capability to teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses and mentor students.
Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and academic excellence.
Salary details
Assistant Professor Grade I: Pay Level 12, Cell 1 – ₹101,500–₹167,400
Assistant Professor Grade II:
Pay Level 10, Cell 14 – ₹84,700
Pay Level 11, Cell 10 – ₹89,900
Pay Level 11, Cell 11 – ₹92,600
