The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), a premier national institute dedicated to research, education and industry-linked training in food technology and allied disciplines, has announced its 2026 faculty recruitment. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants for Associate Professor roles should have a Ph.D. with substantial experience (typically six years or more) in relevant disciplines. Assistant Professor candidates must hold a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in fields such as Food Process Engineering, Agricultural Process Engineering, Agricultural Entomology, Livestock Product Technology, Food Science, Nutrition or related areas aligned with the institute’s academic focus. Salary Details
Faculty remuneration follows the Government of India’s 7th Pay Commission structure. Assistant Professors are placed at Pay Level 10 with a salary range up to approximately ₹1,82,400 per month, while Associate Professors are placed at Pay Level 13A with a higher salary band up to approximately ₹2,17,100 per month, reflecting norms for central academic institutions.
