Teaching Assistant (Forestry) – TNAU Faculty Recruitment 2026
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), Coimbatore, has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Teaching Assistant (Forestry) on a temporary basis under the Forest College and Research Institute (FC&RI), Mettupalayam. TNAU, established originally as an Agricultural School in 1868 and recognized as a pioneer in agricultural education and research, provides a prestigious platform for academic and research pursuits.
This position involves carrying out teaching and related academic duties in the field of Forestry. Interested and eligible candidates must attend a walk-in interview with the prescribed application form, original certificates, research publications, and self-attested photocopies of supportive documents before The Dean (Forestry), FC&RI, Mettupalayam. Application forms are available with the Dean, Centre for Students Welfare, or the Deans of affiliated colleges concerned.
Ph.D. in Forestry from a recognized State Agricultural University (SAU) or Central Agricultural University (CAU); OR
Master’s degree in Forestry from a recognized SAU/CAU with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR
Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from a recognized SAU/CAU with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Teaching and academic instruction capability in Forestry and related disciplines.
Strong background in research and field work within forestry sciences.
Qualification in NET (National Eligibility Test) is preferred and impacts remuneration structure.
With NET Qualification:
More than 2 years of experience: ₹65,000/- per month
Less than 2 years of experience: ₹62,000/- per month
Without NET Qualification:
More than 2 years of experience: ₹55,000/- per month
Less than 2 years of experience: ₹52,000/- per month
