Postdoctoral Research Associate in Plant Biology

The Department of Biology at the University of Oxford is seeking to recruit a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work under the supervision of Dr. Laura Moody within the 3D growth group. The position is funded by the Royal Society for a duration of one year, with start dates available from December 1, 2026. Two positions are available, offered on a full-time or part-time basis (open to discussion).

The post holder will become a core member of the 3D growth group and contribute directly to an ongoing research programme that aims to unravel the complex mechanisms underpinning three-dimensional growth in plants.   • Relevant PhD in a related discipline.

  • Proven experience in molecular plant biology.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to represent the group at national and international academic meetings.

  • Experience in supervising project students in a laboratory environment.

  • Ideal candidates will have previous experience working with Physcomitrium patens.

  • Essential expertise in confocal microscopy.

  • Essential experience with quantitative image analysis.

£39,424 to £47,779 per annum (Grade 7)
