PhD Scholarship in Business and Management (SURES 2026) – Agri-Food Supply Chain Resilience: A Multi-Level Framework and Cross-Level Interactions (RS956)
Swansea University
Swansea, United Kingdom
Swansea University is offering a fully funded PhD studentship within the School of Management under the Swansea University Research Excellence Scholarships (SURES) 2026 cohort. The project focuses on Agri-Food Supply Chain Resilience: A Multi-Level Framework and Cross-Level Interactions (RS956), commencing in October 2026.
This research explores supply chain resilience (SCRes) as a multi-level construct spanning individual, organisational, and supply chain levels. It addresses how resilience emerges through dynamic interactions between individuals, organisations, and broader supply chain networks. The project particularly focuses on agri-food systems, which are highly exposed to environmental, economic, and institutional disruptions. The research aims to develop a multi-level framework that explains how resilience is built, coordinated, and enhanced across interconnected systems, contributing to improved adaptive capacity, innovation, and long-term competitiveness in supply chains.
The studentship is part of Swansea University’s structured doctoral research environment, offering access to expert supervision, advanced research training, and engagement with academic and industry partners. The programme supports development within a world-class research setting at the School of Management, with opportunities to engage in seminars, conferences, and collaborative research activities.
