General Description
UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) is seeking a Research and Data Analyst to join the UK Collaborative on Development Research (UKCDR), a partnership working across UK government departments, research funders, and global stakeholders to strengthen international development through research and evidence. This role is positioned within a dynamic, policy-relevant environment focused on delivering high-quality data insights and analytical outputs to inform strategic decision-making.
The post holder will support the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, contributing to the development of evidence-based insights on priority global development issues. Responsibilities include assisting in the production of analytical outputs such as reports, publications, and presentations, as well as supporting the implementation and enhancement of data tools and platforms, including mapping tools used across UKCDR projects.
The role involves contributing to research on international development trends and policies, engaging with a wide network of stakeholders including government bodies, academic institutions, and funding organizations. The successful candidate will also support project management activities, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of outputs, and will play a role in maintaining collaborative relationships and facilitating data sharing across partners.

Eligibility Criteria:
A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Development Studies, Public Policy, Data Science, or a related discipline
Required expertise/skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights
Knowledge of qualitative research methods and experience analysing both primary and secondary data sources
Quantitative analysis skills, including experience with statistical and data visualisation tools such as Excel or Tableau
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to diverse audiences
Strong organisational and project management abilities, including managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Effective interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Salary details
£37,841 per annum (UKRI Band D)
