University College London (UCL) is seeking to appoint a Research Fellow on a fixed-term basis to contribute to a high-impact research project within a leading academic department. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and interdisciplinary research environment and support the delivery of innovative research aligned with UCL’s strategic priorities.

The role involves undertaking advanced research activities, including the design and implementation of research methodologies, data collection and analysis, and the development of high-quality academic outputs for publication in peer-reviewed journals. The postholder will contribute to ongoing funded research projects, assist in the preparation of grant applications, and participate in dissemination activities such as conferences, seminars, and workshops.

The Research Fellow will work closely with academic colleagues, research staff, and external collaborators, ensuring that project milestones are met in a timely manner and in accordance with institutional and funder requirements. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring junior researchers or postgraduate students and contributing to the broader academic life of the department.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant discipline. Candidates should demonstrate a strong academic record, including evidence of research outputs and experience relevant to the project area.

Required Expertise/Skills
Candidates should possess strong research and analytical skills, with experience in appropriate qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to produce high-quality academic publications. Experience in collaborative research, project coordination, and stakeholder engagement is desirable. Familiarity with relevant data analysis tools and research frameworks is advantageous.

Salary Details
£37,332 – £44,414 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
