Cheran Arts and Science College, Kangayam, invites applications for multiple faculty and non-teaching positions for the academic year 2026. The institution is dedicated to delivering quality higher education and fostering academic excellence across a wide range of disciplines in arts, science, and commerce.
Faculty openings are available for the positions of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and Professor in departments including Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce, Management, and related disciplines. In addition to teaching roles, the college is also recruiting for non-teaching positions to support administrative and institutional functions.
Selected candidates will be responsible for delivering effective teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, preparing course materials, mentoring students, and contributing to curriculum development. Faculty members are expected to engage in research activities, publish scholarly work, and participate in academic and administrative responsibilities. Non-teaching staff will support institutional operations and contribute to the efficient functioning of the college.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria as per UGC norms. For faculty positions, applicants should possess a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with required qualifications such as NET/SET or a PhD as per regulatory requirements. For senior positions, prior teaching and research experience is expected. Non-teaching roles require relevant educational qualifications and experience appropriate to the position.
Required Expertise/Skills
Applicants should have strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude relevant to their discipline. Research capability and publication record are desirable, particularly for higher academic ranks. Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and contribute to institutional development.
Salary Details
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and as per institutional/UGC norms.
