General Description
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), Ramapuram Campus, invites applications for the position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF). The role is part of an ongoing research project within the institution’s active academic and research ecosystem, which is aligned with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and National Education Policy (NEP) frameworks.
The selected candidate will work under the guidance of senior faculty members and principal investigators, contributing to funded research initiatives. The role involves supporting project execution, assisting in experimental or computational research work depending on the project domain, data collection and analysis, documentation of findings, and preparation of research reports and publications.
The position is intended for motivated candidates with strong academic backgrounds who are interested in pursuing advanced research in engineering, science, or interdisciplinary fields. SRMIST provides a collaborative academic environment with access to modern laboratories, research facilities, and interdisciplinary academic support systems.
This JRF position is typically project-based and may be co-terminus with the duration of the funded research project.
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline (M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc or equivalent as applicable to the project area)
- Candidates with strong academic performance and research aptitude
- Qualification requirements as per the norms of the funding agency (where applicable)
- Prior research or project experience is desirable but not mandatory
Required Expertise/Skills
- Strong foundational knowledge in relevant engineering or science discipline
