General Description
The University of Liverpool is seeking to appoint a Computational Biology Data Scientist to contribute to advanced research in computational biology and bioinformatics. Eligibility Criteria
- PhD (or equivalent experience) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or a closely related discipline
- Postdoctoral-level experience or equivalent research background
- Demonstrated experience working in data-intensive biological or biomedical research environments
Required Expertise/Skills
- Strong programming skills relevant to data science and bioinformatics (e.g., Python, R, or similar)
- Experience in analysing large-scale biological datasets
- Knowledge of computational biology, genomics, or related domains
- Ability to develop and implement data analysis pipelines and workflows
- Strong statistical analysis and data interpretation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary research teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Salary Details
- Grade 7 salary scale (as per University of Liverpool pay structure; specific salary dependent on experience)
