Research Associate in Lymphatic Biology

Imperial College London

Location
Hammersmith Campus, London, United Kingdom (on-site)

General Description
Imperial College London is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to contribute to a Medical Research Council-funded project focused on lymphatic biology. This role centers on investigating the transcription factor ERG and its function as a master regulator of lymphatic identity and immune response. The successful candidate will lead innovative research exploring how ERG operates as an immune gatekeeper under both normal physiological and inflammatory conditions.

The position involves working within a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment, partnering with leading researchers across Imperial College London and the University of Nottingham. The role includes the use of advanced in vivo models alongside cutting-edge molecular and cellular techniques, including single-cell transcriptomics and spatial multiplexed imaging technologies.

The researcher will play a key role in designing and executing experiments, analyzing complex biological data, and contributing to translational research aimed at identifying therapeutic targets for diseases such as primary lymphoedema. Responsibilities also include preparing high-quality scientific manuscripts, presenting findings at national and international conferences, and contributing to the broader academic and research mission of the institution.

This is a full-time, fixed-term position designed to support career progression toward independent research leadership. The role provides access to world-class facilities, extensive training opportunities, and a dynamic academic network.
