Research Associate – PARCA-R Translation Project (Vacancy ID: 12826)
University of Leicester – Division of Healthcare
Leicester, United Kingdom
General Description
The University of Leicester is seeking a Research Associate to contribute to an innovative research project focused on adapting and translating the Parent Report of Children’s Abilities–Revised (PARCA-R) questionnaire into five languages: Polish, Romanian, Urdu, Arabic, and Panjabi. The successful candidate will play a central role in managing the day-to-day operations of the project, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and high-quality outputs. Responsibilities include leading the adaptation of the PARCA-R language scale, overseeing translation processes, and supporting the development of both online and audio versions of the questionnaire.
The role involves close collaboration with colleagues across Leicester, Reading, and wider UK partners. The postholder will also engage with parents and healthcare professionals to user-test translations, disseminate findings, and contribute to the preparation of academic manuscripts.
This position is offered on a full-time basis (with job share options considered) and is a fixed-term contract until 28 February 2027.
