University College London’s School of Management is seeking to appoint a post-doctoral Research Fellow to contribute to its world-leading research environment. The School is internationally recognised for excellence in innovation management, entrepreneurship, business analytics, and the growth of technology-intensive organisations, with a strong performance in the Research Excellence Framework (REF 2021), where the majority of research outputs were rated “world-leading” or “internationally excellent.”
This is an exciting period of growth for the School, with a strategic expansion plan aimed at doubling its size over the next five years, including increased academic programmes and research capacity.
The appointed Research Fellow will undertake a research-only role, working closely with the Principal Investigator, Dr. Ming Yang, on research projects in economics and finance. The focus will be on developing advanced theoretical models and applications within these fields. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative, high-impact research within a collaborative academic environment.

Eligibility Criteria
- A PhD (or near completion) in Economics, Finance, or a closely related field
- Demonstrated interest in economic and financial theory
- Proven ability to conduct high-quality academic research
Required expertise/skills
- Advanced knowledge of mechanism design, information design, or related research areas
- Strong analytical and theoretical research capabilities
- Ability to produce original, innovative, and high-quality research outputs
- Strong academic writing and communication skills
