KU Leuven is inviting applications for a fully funded Doctoral Researcher position within the Faculty of Economics and Business. The doctoral researcher will be responsible for conducting independent and collaborative research leading to a PhD in Economics. The role includes developing and executing research projects, publishing findings in peer-reviewed academic journals, and presenting research at international conferences and seminars. In addition to research responsibilities, the candidate may contribute to teaching support activities, including assisting with courses and supervising student work. Eligibility Criteria
- A Master’s degree in Economics or a closely related field
- Strong academic record demonstrating research potential
- Interest in pursuing a PhD and contributing to academic research
Required Expertise/Skills
- Solid background in economic theory and quantitative research methods
- Proficiency in econometrics and statistical analysis
- Experience with programming or statistical software (e.g., Stata, R, Python, or similar)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within research teams
