PhD Studentship – Pharmacogenomic Repurposing of Drugs for Treatment-Resistant B-Cell Lymphoma

University of Plymouth
Plymouth, United Kingdom

General Description
The University of Plymouth is offering a PhD studentship focused on pharmacogenomic approaches to repurposing existing drugs for the treatment of resistant B-cell lymphoma. This research project aims to address a critical challenge in oncology by identifying novel therapeutic strategies for patients who do not respond to current treatments.

The project will explore how genomic and pharmacological data can be integrated to identify candidate drugs that may be repurposed for improved treatment outcomes. The successful candidate will engage in cutting-edge research involving molecular biology, genomics, and computational analysis to investigate mechanisms of drug resistance and therapeutic response in B-cell lymphoma.

The PhD researcher will work within a multidisciplinary research team and have access to state-of-the-art laboratory and computational facilities. Responsibilities include designing and conducting experiments, analysing genomic and pharmacological datasets, and contributing to scientific publications and conference presentations. The candidate will also participate in doctoral training and professional development activities offered by the university.

The studentship is offered on a full-time basis, typically over three to four years, and provides an opportunity to contribute to translational research with potential clinical impact.
