General Description:
The Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) invites applications for the position of Research Associate in its SEWA-IRMA projects. IRMA, founded in 1979 under the leadership of Dr. Verghese Kurien with support from NDDB, the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation, and the Government of India, focuses on creating management professionals who drive sustainable and equitable growth in rural India. The Research Associate will conduct primary field data collection, manage and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, support report and policy brief preparation, coordinate stakeholder workshops, and assist faculty in drafting project documentation.
Eligibility Criteria:
Master’s degree or PhD in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Rural Management, Gender Studies, or MBA/PGDM with strong research orientation.
Demonstrated experience in qualitative and quantitative field research.
Prior work with cooperatives, SHGs, or women’s collectives is an advantage.
Proficiency in data analysis tools.
Willingness to undertake extensive field travel.
Required Expertise/Skills:
Strong research and analytical skills.
Effective communication skills in English.
Ability to conduct field surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus group discussions.
Experience in preparing reports, case studies, and policy briefs.
Salary Details:
Consolidated monthly contract: ₹35,000 – ₹50,000, based on qualifications and experience.
