Queen Mary University of London’s School of Engineering and Materials Science is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join its research team focusing on the modelling of polymers. This fixed‑term, full‑time position will be based at the University’s Mile End Road campus in London. The successful candidate will contribute to cutting‑edge research involving computational and theoretical modelling techniques applied to polymer systems. Eligibility Criteria:
A PhD (or nearing completion) in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computational Mechanics, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrable research experience relevant to polymer modelling, soft materials, or computational materials science.
Required Expertise/Skills:
Strong computational modelling skills applied to polymers or complex materials.
Proficiency in programming and numerical methods for simulation.
Ability to design, execute, and analyse simulation‑based research projects.
Effective scientific communication skills including publication of research findings in peer‑reviewed journals.
Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within research teams.
Salary Details:
£38,419 to £44,288 per annum (exact salary dependent on experience and qualifications).
