Frequently Asked Questions
Who can submit an article to Science Factors?
Submissions to Science Factors are invitation-only. Articles are accepted from invited researchers, faculty members, scientists, clinicians, industry professionals, innovators, and subject experts whose work aligns with one of our editorial sections: Expert Opinion, Science Desk, Innovation & Patents, Industry Insights, or Science Tomorrow.
What types of articles are accepted?
We accept accessible, evidence-based scientific articles that explain important developments, emerging ideas, research advances, industry trends, or future directions in science and technology. Articles should be written for a broad academic and science-interested readership, not only for specialists.
Can an article have co-authors?
Yes. Co-authored submissions are accepted when all listed authors have made a meaningful intellectual contribution. For magazine-style articles, a limited number of authors is preferred. The submitting author must confirm that all co-authors have reviewed and approved the article, author order, affiliations, and final submission.
What files do invited authors need to upload?
Invited authors are requested to upload two completed files:
- Article File – including title, main article, subheadings, pull quotes, figures/captions if any, selected references, and contribution note.
- Author Information File – including author/co-author details, affiliations, expertise areas, profile links, and photo information.
High-resolution author photos and figure files may also be uploaded separately where applicable.
Can authors include figures, diagrams, or images?
Yes. Authors may submit 1–2 figures, conceptual diagrams, schematics, graphical summaries, or relevant images. Original visuals are preferred. If any visual is adapted or reproduced from a published source, the author must confirm that permission has been obtained and provide the original source details.
Are references required?
Yes, but the article should not read like a full review paper. Authors may provide 3–6 selected references, DOI links, or key publications related to the article topic. These may include the author’s own major contributions to the field.
Will the article be edited before publication?
Yes. The Science Factors editorial team may make minor edits for language, clarity, formatting, layout, and magazine style. Scientific meaning will be preserved. If major changes are needed, the editorial team may contact the author for clarification or approval.
Are all submitted articles published?
No. Submission does not guarantee publication. Only articles submitted through invitation and approved by the Science Factors editorial team will be considered for publication. Final publication depends on editorial review, article suitability, completeness, quality, originality, and issue planning.
What happens after submission?
After submission, the editorial team will review the article for relevance, clarity, completeness, originality, and suitability for the selected section. Authors may be contacted for revisions, missing information, image permissions, or formatting clarifications. Final publication depends on editorial approval and available issue scheduling.
